The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

Fifteen-year-old Charlie is coping with the suicide of his friend, Michael. To lessen the fear and anxiety of starting high school alone, Charlie starts writing letters to a stranger, someone he heard was nice but has never met in person. At school, Charlie becomes friends and with his English teacher, Bill. He also overcomes his extreme shyness and approaches a classmate, Patrick, who, along with his step-sister Sam, become two of Charlie's closest and only friends. Together, the three of them go through tough times, try new things, and get to know each other, while still getting to know themselves.

This book is the ultimate example of a coming of age novel. That is basically what this whole book is about. Its real, it shows how young teens develop and all of the scary and wonderful emotions they feel during their high school years. Teens should 100% read this and try to take something out of it. I loved the book, and I loved the movie too.
