Stargirl, by Jerry Spinelli, is about a girl who refuses to conform. When she comes to school, she sings people birthday songs. She is caring and kind. People begin to love her. She is popular. Then things change. Stargirl plummets to the bottom of the social ladder. Will she be able to stay unique or will she be swayed by the current?
I think this book is really meaningful. I like the morals and lessons. Stargirl is a great character you will come to love. I would recommend this book.
