Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

Image result for mockingjay book

In the third book of The Hunger Games series, a lot is going on. To brief you, Katniss Everdeen has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Katniss's family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding.
It was planned that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the Quarter Quell, and it is by plan that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it yet. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to defeat the Capitol. Everyone has had a say in the carefully laid plans except Katniss, for now. The fate of the rebellion relies on Katniss solely, for her to accept responsibility for countless lives, and to change the future of Panem. To do this, she must become the rebels' Mockingjay.

This was an amazing series, and if you haven't heard of it by now, where have you been? The movies were great, and the books were close to perfection. This plot is so elaborate yet makes perfect sense. You feel like you are living in a District in Panem with them. This book has amazing symbolism scattered perfectly throughout. If you haven't read this book by now, go do it right now.
