The Awakening, by Kelley Armstrong, is the second book in the Darkest Powers series. The book follows Chloe. She is a teen aged necromancer who can summon the dead. She has been genetically experimented on by an organization called the Edison Group. Her powers are out of whack and she's being held prisoner. Now she's on the run with a sorcerer, werewolf, and witch. Chloe and her friends must outrun the Edison Group and find help if they hope to make it out alive.
I really liked this book. It has all the right pieces to suck you right into a book. The suspense is amazing. The plot is enthralling. You will find yourself waiting to read the next book!
