Paper Towns by John Green is a fantastic realistic fiction book. I know it is realistic fiction because it is set in modern day with people who have real life problems. In the book, Quentin Jacobsen has been in love with Margo ever since the day she moved next door. Margo was always a mysterious girl. One night before high school graduation, Margo shows up to Q´s window ready to go on an adventure. Throughout the night, they get revenge on all the people who have hurt them. The next few days, Margo doesn't show up to school. It was usual for her to disappear for a little while, but never this long. Being Margo, she decided to leave discreet clues for Q of where she may be. Q and his two best friends go on a journey to find where the infamous Margo Roth Spiegelman has gone this time.
In my opinion, this book is overall an outstanding book. The author, John Green, develops the characters in a way that makes you feel like you´ve known them forever. The plot is unpredictable, especially with Margoś cryptic clues. I love John Green´s style of writing and how well and thorough he describes everything. I would highly recommend that everyone reads this book to understand that all you need in life is a few good friends and love.
