Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, by Ransom Riggs, is about sixteen-year-old Jacob, who journeys to a small island off the coast of Wales after the death of his grandfather. Taking a trek through the wilderness, Jacob finds an abandoned mansion, known as Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Exploring the crumbling remains, Jacob finds out more about the children. They may be more than just peculiar. As Jacob learns more, he becomes tightly wrapped in mysteries of the past and his grandfather's life-and death. He learns that while these children died during World War Two, they may still be alive. Jacob must find the children to find out who his grandfather-and he-really is.
This book was amazing! It kept me on the edge of my seat. The suspense and action is amazing. The plot twists are so unexpected and surprising. I would highly recommend this book!
