The Fault In Our Stars is a heart-touching book about a young teenage girl who has been diagnosed with lung cancer and attends a cancer support group. Hazel is 16 and is reluctant and unhappy to go to the support group, but she soon realizes it's not too bad due to a certain boy. Hazel meets Augustus Waters. He is charming and witty. Augustus has had Osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, but has recently been deemed clear. Hazel and Augustus embark on a roller coaster ride of emotions, including love, sadness and romance, as well as going on a crazy trip to another country to search for the author of their favorite book. Throughout getting to know eachother, they realize that love may be the scariest yet most exciting thing they've ever experienced.
If you enjoy young adult books, full of witty humour and heartbreaking events, this book is perfect for you. You'll fall in love with Hazel and Augustus. Expect to laugh, cry and smile throughout this masterpiece by the amazing John Green. I highly recommend this book.
