Two years before Beatrice Prior made her choice, the teenage son of Abnegation’s faction leader was faced with the sane decision. Tobias’s transfer to Dauntless is a chance to escape the horrors of his old life and start again. At Dauntless, he will be different. Newly named “Four,” due to only having four fears (almost unheard of), he realizes during initiation that he will succeed in Dauntless. But it's only the beginning, though; Four must claim his place in the Dauntless high society. Two years later, Four is poised to take action against the shady stuff going on within the factions, but he is still unsure. The first new initiate who jumps into the net might change all that. With her, his doubts was away. His past isn't a shame he is burdened with. With her, it might become possible to be Tobias once again.
Veronica Roth did an amazing job at creating a story from a different perspective. I usually hate remakes and alternate endings, but this book had me hooked right away. I legitimately finished the whole 300 something page book in 2 hours. You uncover a side of Four that is so raw and really dives into his inner thoughts. Even if you've never read the Divergent series before, I highly recommend this book.
