What would you do if you were
told you have an infectious disease called “the flare?” And you only have two
weeks to get to the safe haven to get the cure for the disease? In the book, The Scorch Trials by James Dashner,
the main character, Thomas and his friends, escape the maze, which was in the
previous book called Maze Runner.
An evil group called “WICKED” had told them that they were infected with the
disease “flare” and that they only have two weeks to get the cure. To get the
cure, it is a very dangerous path.
If you have read the first book Maze Runner by James Dashner, you
would like this sequel. In my opinion, this book is very good and I like it a
lot. It is fast paced and it is easy to read. The author’s writing style is
very good. This book also has a lot of action and jaw-dropping moments; it just
wants you to read more and more. I mostly recommend this book to boys because
the book is about boys and it has a lot of action, but girls can read this book
too.
