The Hunger Games By Suzanne Collins

Your friend is dying right before your eyes. What would you do?  What could you do? You must go on. Life-threatening choices are made in the novel, The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins. Only in the games will your best friend possibly become your worst adversary.
Some time in the future, our country turns into the worst time of our lives. Our country will be split into thirteen districts. This new world is called the Seam. In district 12, there lives Katniss. She lives with her mother and sister. Each district is deprived from supplies. The only way they can restore a district’s supply is by randomly choosing two kids 12- 18 years of age from each district to fight in the Hunger Games. The last one standing gets supplies for their district. Who is going to win? Who are you routing for?
Although this novel is slow paced at first, it packs a punch. I was so close to abandoning it, but the second I actually got to the games, I just couldn’t stop reading. Hopefully, if you do choose to read this book, just remember to stick with it. Will Katniss be the last one standing?
