Destined By PC and Kristin Cast

            If it were up to you to save all of humanity, what would you do? What if you only had the affinities of Spirit, Fire, Water, Earth, and Air by your side? This is what Zoey Redbird needs to do in the House of Night series by PC and Kristin Cast. It is up to Zoey Redbird, a fledgling high priestess in the House of Night. Zoey is really special, she was chosen to be fledgling high priestess, but she has to convert entirely into a vampire before doing so. Her body can reject the change and therefore have her die, but her body could accept the conversion and become a really powerful high priestess. There is one complication yet to deal with. There is an ancient darkness that has been growing stronger of the last three centuries and Zoey is destined to go up against it. The only problem is if she can win or not.

I think this book and the entire series has been very pleasing. The Casts kept me hooked over and over again, which I thought was a really good thing with their writing style; it also helps you understand how the characters feel so you can almost feel the emotions in them.

A lot of questions ran through my head and here are some of them. She does have her friends by her side, but will they last? What will happen to them if they lose the big battle? Find out by reading the series House of Night. The first book is Marked where it all starts leading up to the most important battle in history.
