The Truth About Forever By:Sarah Dessen

Cover image
Click for more information on this title   The book that I read is called The Truth About Forever. The author is Sarah Dessen. The genre of my story is realistic fiction because, the story has real events. The main characters are, Macy, Caroline, her boyfriend, Delia, her mom, and Wes. The book is about a girl name Macy. She has a boyfriend and he's sort of a controller. Macy and her boyfriend spend almost every summer together. Then, her boyfriend told her that he is going away to a brain camp for the WHOLE summer. He also asks her if she can help manage the library when he is gone, which is his job, and of course she had to say yes. Even though she doesn't want to help at the library, she wants to keep him as a boyfriend because, when her dad passed away when she was young, Macy's boyfriend was there for her. Next, her boyfriend broke up with her, well "asked to take a break". She began to feel stressed, so she went out and tried to find something that could take her mind off of things. Eventually, her mom hosted a catering event for her dad's business. Macy finds the catering business interesting so she joins the business. Even though things seem a little awkward and confusing at the beginning, she finds the business, the people and the places they go, interesting.
I would recommend this book to young girls/adults that are into love stories with a twist. I have several reasons to recommend this book. One reason is because, the book gives a lot of twists and turns. Also, this book always has you at the edge of your seat. Another important reason is, this book has a lot of characters with different backgrounds and traits that aren't like the others. This story makes me feel happy and upset at the same time. I think the reason that this happens is because, every time something good happens, something upsetting always comes/pops up. If you're looking for an story with a lot of things happening at once, then this is the book for you!
