The Selection by Kiera Cass

The Selection by Kiera Cass is a book that is all about love. America, the main character, gets and envelope in the mail on the first day in her new house. The letter reads, "The selection has many girls from all over the country enter a contest to be the prince's true love!" America didn't want to enter because she already loved a boy named Aspen.  America's mom really wants her to enter The Selection. America ends up entering and enters the palace a few days later saying her last goodbye to her family. She leaves her true love, Aspen, and enters the palace. She lives there for a long time while the prince is kicking out girls he isn't interested in! There is a series so she what happens in the next few books!
I recommend this book more to girls because this is about love which I don't believe boys will be interested in. There is some action in between some nights at the palace if you like action and romance. This book is told in the first person point of view because America is telling this story, which is why I really enjoyed it and why I think other girls will enjoy it.
