The Million Dollar Throw By: Mike Lupica

The genre of this book is realistic fiction. It is realistic fiction because the setting and characters are fake but the characters act and speak like real people. This book is not in a series but the author has written many other sports book's like this book. Nate Brodie is a quarterback for his football team. He is the star athlete on the team. Nate signed up for a chance to win a million dollars by throwing a football into a hole that is 100 feet away. Nates number was picked for the chance to win 1,000,000 dollars. He has a month before he gets to attempt the challenge to win 1,000,000 dollars. When Nate was playing football he couldn't make a single pass to any of his teammates. He starts to really struggle with throwing the football. Nates friend Abby is becoming blind and to fix her blindness it will cost a million dollars. But Nates family have taxes that are 500,000 dollars to pay off. Will Nate Brodie make the throw and win the million dollars? What will he do with the money if he wins?

I like this book and how the plot twisted and the events that happen. I like this book because the genre is realistic fiction and I really like realistic fiction books. Another reason why I liked this book is that it includes sports in the book and I love sportsbooks. Finally, the author is Mike Lupica and I like all the books he ever wrote. I recommend this book to someone who like solving the problem ahead of time and people that like twits and sports.
