The Selection by Kiera Cass

Image result for the selection book summary

The Selection by Kiera Cass is about a teenage girl named America, and takes place in a society with a monarchy (you know, Kings, Queens, Princes). In this story, oddly similar to The Bachelor, you find America being selected to compete against 34 other girls for the heart of swoon-worthy Prince Maxon, leaving her laid out for her life, her family, and her hometown boyfriend. It's America's worst nightmare. Soon she is swept into a glamorous life of ball gowns, diamonds and pearls, fierce girls, and an infuriating Prince that she refuses to fall for. America is being captivated by this new life, and by Maxon. How will she stay true to her old life back home.

I 100% recommend this book to every middle school or high school girl. It is the perfect book to get lost into the character's world, and soon, you'll be wishing you were America. Each character has their own distinct personality, and this book is full of deceitful girls. The setting will have you enticed and you will want to marry Maxon somewhere along the way.
