A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks is a heart-touching novel about a preacher's daughter Jamie Sullivan and the town bad boy Landon Carter. Jamie is such a social outcast to Landon's inner circle that he avoids her at all costs, until, a situation occurs where he needs to ask Jamie to the school dance. She accepts, and that night Jamie helps Landon out of an embarrassing moment, revealing her selfless and genuine character that intrigues him despite her relentless and isolating Christianity.
After Jamie asks Landon to star in the school's Christmas play, a town tradition which her father instituted, he develops a gradual and reluctant relationship with her. What started out as mutual relationship bound for failure, ends up being a pleasant thing that has both of them questioning everything they know. Until Jamie reveals the secret that forces Landon to realize what is important to him, and all of the things he'll do to get it.
I can not say anymore wonderful things about this book. I think I have the right to say this is my all time favorite book for many reasons. Nicholas Sparks constructed this book to perfection and every detail is thought out ever so carefully and intricate. This isn't just a romance, but a beautiful story of fate and developing to the person you are.
